JetBlue + RuPaul's Drag Race

SOCIAL, DIGITAL, EXPERIENTIAL & MULTIMEDIA

ROLE:  CREATIVE DIRECTOR, DIRECTOR

When JetBlue decided to rename an airplane after one of RuPaul's famous catch phrases - they needed a campaign that brought this pride filled occasion to life.  We created a "safety" video where Drag Race royalty Bob the Drag Queen and Trixie Mattel gave Jet Blue passengers and fans around the world a taste of what travel would look like if Drag Queens were in charge.  

The video reached millions of fans across social, and played on the seat backs of JetBlue flights along side a documentary that highlighted the making of the video and legacy episodes of the Emmy Award winning show.  There was also an experiential element with a Terminal take over at JFK Airport. The entire integration supported Drag Race's (succesful) Emmy campaign, promoted the upcoming season and elevated JetBlue's brand with Drag Race fans everywhere.

Among other honors the video won a Webby Award and was given the Alliance Award at Adweek's Constellation Awards.
